Welcome to StateCollegeGuitarLessons.com , a portal for the Guitar Student: from the very basics to advanced technique. Whether you are just learning to hold the instrument or learning that a thousand screaming fans really do like your style; if you love the sound of an acoustic guitar, or an electric guitar, amplifier, and a ton of stomp boxes, this web site is designed to be a place for you to learn to play the guitar just the way you want.
If you are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly guitar teacher who you can count on to help you learn what you want to learn (not what the guitar teacher wants to push on you), and someone who won't try to intimidate you by talking over your level, then your search is over. Congratulations! You've Conquerored Your First Guitar Challenge:toward learning to play the guitar
I's not easy to be proactive in seeking out a private instructor, as you are now, so “Good for you!”. You're doing your homework on the subject, so you already regard it as an important decision. Student guitarists are advised to talk to more than one instructor, although it's not always an option. Whether this is your first stop, or your last, I'm happy that you're interested in learning. Of course, I do hope that you decide to work with me.
The most important factor in the success or failure of the eager, beginner guitar student is the Guitar Teacher. Whether the new student will enjoy learning to play guitar, and stick with it through any difficulties, is heavily dependent on whether he or she is properly guided through the basics. Ask a veteran musician, your old piano teacher, your little sister who plays the saxophone-- anyone you know who plays an instrument-- and chances are they will tell you about a certain teacher who made all the difference to them in catching on, and getting over the big hurdles. Hands-on tutorials tend to make for a dramatic improvement when it comes to learning to play the guitar.
There you sit, considering two roads diverged in the wood. This is your chance to take the one less traveled-- to make something real of the inspiration that's brought you here. Choose the path of the guitar student, and you'll find a life-long friend in the instrument. Your appreciation for music will broaden, as you recognize your own abilities taking shape through your commitment.
Guitar lessons can actually do more good for the student than the obvious outcome of learning to play. Often, the technical concepts in music studies help the student to more easily conquer difficult math, and other abstract concepts.
When you dedicate yourself to learning to play an instrument, you're dedicating yourself to become a more well-rounded individual altogether. Learn to play guitar, and some day you will thank yourself for the way it's enhanced your life.
